IDEA is a non-profit voluntary organization registered under Society Registration Act & Bombay Public Trust Act in 2002 & 2007 respectively. It was conceptualized by a team of qualified and experienced social scientists and social workers, to deal with the problems in education and developmental issues of the marginalized people, realizing the need for adopting a holistic approach to minimize school dropout. Currently the Organisation is functioning from Maharashtra .IDEA’s initiatives are for the development of underprivileged children, youth and women.

Aims and Objectives

IDEA’s core focus is to work towards achieving universal elementary education and minimizing dropout among under privileged children.
Other aims and objectives include:-

• To facilitate development aid and support to the needy children to complete their education, training and all round development.
• To provide vocational guidance, training and facilities for vocational rehabilitation of the needy.
• To undertake programs of community development in the field of education, health etc
• To undertake implementation of the various schemes of Government and local bodies, in the fields of education, income generation and vocational training.
• To initiate programs for: -

- Needy and destitute children who have no shelter, education and who are found to be exploited in the society.
- Street children and school dropouts and to restart their education and organize special programs for them.
